This morning

So this morning I woke up early and was lying in bed and waiting for the day to start. All of a sudden, it felt like the bed was shaking. I thought it was Jason, moving around or something, but I looked over and he was sound asleep. So then I though, "Maybe it's an earthquake!" Then I reasoned that I was being silly and letting my imagination get the best of me. I forgot about it until I looked at Deseret News online. Sure enough, at 7:16 this morning, there was an earthquake in Nevada and it could be felt all along the Wasatch front. I guess I am more geological than I give myself credit for. Anyways, I have never experienced any kind of "natural" event like that so it was a first. Thankfully it was very mild and everything was ok. Weird...

Kinsey noticed some guys moving furniture outside of our apartment. Some had taken their shirts off and she asked me why. I told her that they were probably hot and explained that sometimes guys take their shirts off outside but that girls shouldn't and figured that would be the end of the conversation. But a little while later she saw the guys outside again and said, "Them boys took off their shirts. They're HOT!"

I was telling Jason how well Kinsey was doing learning her colors. I mentioned that she knows the color white. Jason said, "She knows white?" Kinsey, very confidently, broke into the conversation and said "I know white." We just looked at each other. It was her first "real" sentence that she thought up all on her own. She's growing up too fast.

Kinsey and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood when she spotted a dog, or a "woof woof" as she calls it. We went over to say hi and the dog touched her hand with his nose. Kinsey looked at her hand then said "eww" and wiped her hand on her shorts.
